Newsela provides parents, teachers and students with over 1,000 current articles varying on reading comprehension levels and topics.

 

Newsela contains articles from myths and legends to philosophy and economics. The grade levels also range from second to twelfth grade.   

Read Write Think offers parent and afterschool resources that can be used at home and are accessible online. The site offers resources for kindergarten through 12 grade.

They have activities & projects, games & tools, tips & how-to's, printouts, and podcasts.

Khan Academy is a non profit organization that has created this website to assist students in their studies.

This website offers online video tutorials and tutorials. The site also includes practice questions and exercises.

Video Resources

The Learning Community webpage offers parent free video resources. These videos include strategies that help children make sense of what they read, helpful tips to teach kids tolerance, and parents being the primary influence in a child's motivation to learn. . 

National Geographic Kids offers videos from Science and Animals to Social Studies and History. Students can view and explore the different videos to discover what they would like to watch.  

TeacherTube offers videos for parents, students, and teachers. The videos include topics such as nouns, sea turtles, two digit numbers, and multiplication.
